building inspection for new home inspection
It's a common misconception amongst potential buyers that if a newly built property has passed the council-required stage inspections by a certifier, then it must have no flaws. However this is not necessarily the case...
Our new home handover inspections have commonly found below-standard thin paint finishes to walls and doors, inadequate fall on bathroom floors preventing water drainage, among other issues. Getting an independent inspection before moving in is a smart idea!
Each of our new home inspection reports includes a thorough inspection right throughout the house, including the internal and external areas, walls, doors, windows, ceilings, gyprocking, brickwork, external cladding, paving, concreting, retaining walls, wet areas, and sub-floor and roof cavity structures, etc.
Our handover inspection will check for building compliance to Australian Standards, across all trades: Carpentry, roofing, plumbing, tiling, cabinetry, wall finishes, floor finished, paint finish, timber finishes, external brickwork or cladding, fall on floor in wet areas, etc.
We also offer a liaison service, (if needed) to liaise with the builder and ensure the property is completed to a satisfactory standard. This is an extra service after the initial report - request a quote if needed.
We offer you the choice of either a written or verbal report - you decide which one best suits your needs.
Our new home inspection is a great way to finalise your home before moving in - Avoid any nasty and potentially expensive surprises down the track!
